Umbrellas Please.....It's Raining...ing

USA's freezing, Britain's soaking
Skies are darkening, rain keeps falling
Dropping down and down, it's pouring
And the lightening's frightening and the thunder's crashing.

Up North it's snowing, down South it's saturating
Villagers, abandoning their houses flooding
Manholes spouting, unmentionables floating
Homes disintegrating on land that's sliding
Stiff upper-lipped Brits tolerating this weather storming.

Streams torrenting into rivers raging
Roads submerging, cars are floating
Britannia's struggling with her Ruling
Ancient artefacts emerging 'neath waves pounding
Only exciting for Archaeologists investigating.

Ladies in party attire dashing toward taxis waiting
Kiddies in wellies enjoying splashing
Colourful brollies appearing through mists swirling
Still it's dropping, down and down, it's pouring
It's not stopping, it's still raining.

Oh! How i'd like to see that glorious sun shining, I'm just musing.....
